DH2005 Deer Hunting Tournament Rules

No Sign Up is required.

Simply send in an entry that meets all current qualifications and it will be included.

(Reading and complying with the rules is required. <:-)>)

1. Trophies can be taken Online or Offline.

2. You may only submit one entry per tournament.

3. You must submit the Exported Trophy Room file(s) of your trophy(s) by 12:00 Noon EST on Sunday. If you don't know how please see the NOTES at the Bottom of Page. Please be aware that the scores on the Exported Trophies are sometimes slightly different than the scores in the Trophy Room. Please look at the scores on the Trophy Export File to see what the actual Submitted Score will be. To do this simply double click on the Trophy File in your DH2005 Trophies Folder.

Send E-mail entry files to Wiseard@cox.net

4. Trophy(s) must meet ALL of the Tournament Criteria for the Current Tournament in order for your entry to qualify.

5. Hunter names, as listed on the exported Trophy Files, will be used for overall Hunter Standings. To avoid confusion, different Hunter names will not be combined in the Hunter Standings. However, Hunter Names with different extensions may be combined so long as the primary name is the same (John, John-1, John-TR, etc.).

6. No Complaining! The purpose of these tournament is to have FUN. If there is a problem let me know and if possible it will be corrected. As in real hunting, hunter courtesy and good sportsmanship should be the rule. If the tournaments cease to be fun then they will be discontinued.

7. It should go without saying that THE USE OF CHEATS IN OUR TOURNAMENT IS TOTALLY PROHIBITED. Anyone caught cheating in the tournament WILL BE BANNED PERMANENTLY FROM PARTICIPATION.

8. In the GC tournaments we keep an 8 week running total for all hunters entering the tournaments. Scoring is based on the top ten placements in weekly tournaments. First place for the week gets 10 points, second place 9 points, etc., down to the 10th place which will get 1 point. The top 3 Hunters for the 8 week period will be eligible to compete with each other in a Grand Championship Tournament play-off on the 9th week. No other hunters will be allowed to compete during the 9th week playoff. The winner of the playoff earns the title of Grand Champion and the right to use the (GC) title in their player name if they wish. The competition is tough and the winner well earns their title. Hunters are welcome to participate in the weekly tournaments even if they do not wish, or are unable, to participate in the full 8 week Grand Championship tournament. <:-)>

NOTES:

Most Custom Maps will be available at Big Game Lodge. I will, however, try to have a direct link to them on the Current Tournament Rules page when Custom Maps are used.

How to send your exported trophy(s). Go to your Trophy Room and select the Trophy you wish to enter. (You may have to do this more than once if the Tournament calls for multiple kills.) At the bottom right of the screen click EXPORT to save your trophy to the trophies folder. Next either click on the e-mail link on this page or create an e-mail in your e-mail program and address it to Wiseard@cox.net. On the e-mail Subject Line put “TOURNAMENT ENTRY”. Next select “Insert File” and browse to the Trophy File(s) and attach to your e-mail. Typically they will be located in C:\Program Files\Atari\Deer Hunter 2005\Game\Trophies. Now all you have to do is send the e-mail.

NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED!

Keep a check on the Rules. They are subject to Change.
